Gatlinburg Autumn Events For October 2022
Like the title says, these are Gatlinburg Autumn events coming up for the big Autumn Harvest Festival month of October. These take place either in the city or close enough that those staying in Gatlinburg will be able to drive to them and back again in less than 30 minutes. Get your plans for the Smokies ready today, because you’ll definitely want to check these out.
* Oktoberfest At Ober *
September 24th – October 30th
Ober Gatlinburg is celebrating autumn with a fantastic festival featuring Bavarian-Style food, drink, and music. The 13th Annual OktOBERfest will be held from September 24th-October 30th. The Smoky Mountain Oompah Band, in authentic costume, will perform traditional folk dances with free shows daily. Guests can enjoy live entertainment & a Bier Garten featuring specialty Oktoberfest bier and foods.
When you have had your fill of yodeling, schnitzel and Bavarian beer, you can enjoy everything else that Ober Gatlinburg has to offer. Some of the activities include Ice Bumper Cars, a Rock Climbing Wall, the Ski Mountain Coaster, an indoor Ice Skating Rink, the Alpine Slide, Chair Swing, Scenic Chairlift, Amaze’n Maze, Mini-Golf, and the Wildlife Encounter. Remember to bring your camera along to capture the memories, as well as the gorgeous views from high above the city of Gatlinburg.

* Lumberjack Feud Rib Fest *
October 1st – October 2nd
The best pit masters from all over compete for BBQ glory, cash prizes and the title of Rib Fest Champion. Activities during the weekend include:
* Best Rib Competition (Saturday)
* Lumberjack Competition
* Live Music
* Inflatables
* Amateur Axe Throwing Competition

* Gatlinburg Craftsmens Fair *
October 13th – October 30th
The Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair hosts Artisans and Craftsmen from all over the nation. Two hundred booths with unique and one-of-a-kind handmade products are beautifully displayed inside for your shopping pleasure. As these skilled craftspeople demonstrate their talents, you can witness works of art come to life. Each participant is subject to a rigorous jury process to ensure the uniqueness and quality of their respective products. All items represented are handmade and of the utmost quality. Look for exceptional pottery pieces, painted artwork, molded leather, copper art, local candy makers, photography, and many more unique items.
There is something for everyone at the Fair. Be sure to stop by our daily music shows included with the price of admission. Check out the stage and enjoy the contemporary country, bluegrass, and your favorite gospel tunes daily at 12 and 3. Concessions are available. Free push wheelchairs while they last. * 2022 Gatlinburg Garden Club Wine Fest *
October 15th
All proceeds will go to the Gatlinburg Garden Club Annual Scholarship Fund. Sample wine, ciders and meads from some of the finest local wineries. There will also be wine pairing lessons and locally-made ceramic wine glasses.

* Titanic Hallo-wine “Tasting” Masquerade Event *
October 28th
A spirited evening with friends and good cheer will be uncorked when Titanic Museum throws its first Hallo-Wine Masquerade Event Friday night, October 28th starting at 6pm – 10pm.
Guests are encouraged to wear masquerade mask.
Hallo-Wine Treats Include:
* Special guest performance by renowned, International Cellist Elena Bosworth.
